Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed (or low-boiled from dry for extra creaminess)
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Kinzie Sweet BBQ Sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2–3 tbsp cold water (adjust for consistency)

  1. Prep the beans: If using canned, rinse thoroughly. For a smoother texture, low-boil the beans for 5 minutes and let cool slightly.
  2. Blend: In a food processor or blender, combine garbanzo beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, Kinzie Sweet BBQ Sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Adjust texture: Add cold water one tablespoon at a time while blending until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  4. Serve: Scoop into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil and more Kinzie Sweet BBQ Sauce if desired. Garnish with toppings and serve with crackers, pita chips, veggies, or as a sandwich spread.
